Korg Monologue synthesizer keyboard features 25 velocity-sensitive keys, analog synthesis engine, 100 tones, 16-step seqs, AA battery-powered. Korg Monologue is a monophonic synthesizer keyboard with an analog type of sound engine. Simple, compact design, and easy to use, making it a perfect additional gear for your stage or studio session rig.
Korg Monologue – Powerful Monophonic Analog Synth Keyboard in a Compact Body
If you are looking for an easy-to-use, compact and affordable price analog synthesizer keyboard, then Korg Monologue should be on your first list. Why? Simply because it equipped all of the features that you need in creating your own unique synth tone, plus you get to play with a 16-track sequencer making it a friendly gear for music-making. What’s more, they come in 4 colors (Singapore version), they are Black, Silver, Blue, and Red.
Powered by a similar engine as you find in its “brother” – Korg Minilogue – the iconic Korg’s Analog Synthesis sound engine provides you with 100 fully customizable preset tones including micro tuning and sequence data settings.
The seven main analog synthesis parameters; MASTER, VCO1, VCO2, MIXER, FILTER, EG, and LFO; will give you much more waveforms pattern to reshape following your personal taste. Then, add the micro tuning feature with its 32 settings, opening up a wider and more colorful synth sound.
The 16-track sequencer is another cool feature to play around with on the Monologue, especially during a live performance where you can easily use the per-step parameter locks to record motion sequences of the knob movements. Therefore, you can combine and customize your synth sound and then turn it into a loop to create a cool sequence.
The 25-mini-key plus a Monophonic (1-note polyphony) is more than enough to get you grooving because in a synth-type keyboard, you rarely play a tone as a chord, therefore, with only one keynote you can expand the sound in a wider perspective.
Obviously, portability is one of the main highlights of Korg Monologue because as you can see it has a small compact body and weighed only 1.7 kg, capable to operate with only a 6x AA-type of batteries. Not to mention it’s considered one of the cheapest analog synthesizer keyboards in the market with a retail price under S$500.
