Korg Minilogue – Analog Polysynth Keyboard with Modern Sound Shaping Technology
Back in the 80’s Korg Poly 800 is one of the keyboards that help to shape the generation of analog synthesizers and music production with its unique sound shaping technology, now Korg returns with the advanced polysynth keyboard, the Minilogue.
Korg Minilogue comes in a compact 37-key with velocity-sensitive which is perfect for polysynth type of keyboard because mostly you will play around with the sound rather than the notes. In the tone generator, the Minilogue is equipped with the analog synthesis sound engine which features the iconic and highly shapable analog signal path: VCO, VCF, EG, VCA, and LFO.
100 killer preset sounds are available for you to customize with the help of a set of impressive effects such as cross modulation, oscillator sync, delay, highpass filter, and many more. Instead of tone customization, with Korg Minilogue you’ll get to do tone-shaping where it allows you to reshape the dial harmonic content into the 3 choosable waveforms of Dual VCOs or further reshape the tone with additional oscillator sync, cross modulation, and ring modulation. With a maximum of 4 notes polyphony, you can easily combine the note into a chord which will give you a more dynamic tone.
In Minilogue you will get to play with not 3, not even 5 but 8 voice modes which consist of all the iconic polysynth effects: Poly, Duo, Unison, Mono, Chord, Delay, Arp, and Sidechain modes. Each mode has its own unique characteristic and waveform allows you to reshape the selected preset tone to be more fun and creative.
Recording in real-time and per part are made easy in Minilogue due to its amazing capability to store up to 16 steps of sequencing. Overdub the real-time recording with additional parameters or do a step recording to create wider phrases and rhythms sessions. Not to mention you can easily connect and combine the built-in sequencer with other MIDI-supported gear.
