A standard portable keyboard consists of 61 keynotes more than enough to kickstart your musical journey to learn the chords, play songs, and compose music. What if you want to explore more notes, for example playing higher notes on the piano sound? Yamaha PSR-EW320 got you covered because it comes with an additional octave with a total of 76 keynotes.
The Yamaha PSR-EW320 is the new version of the recently discontinued PSR-EW310 which highlights the 76 organ-style keynotes with multi-level touch responses. The 76 keys paired with multi-level touch responses allow the user to play with their preferred key response while playing with a certain instrument sound. For example, if you play with the Piano sound, to replicate the key response of an acoustic piano, switch the touch responses to HARD mode, this way you will have to add more weight while pressing the keys, similar to when you press the acoustic one due to the key resistance.
The main differences between PSR-EW320 vs PSR-EW310 are in the new sounds, styles, songs, and Auto Chord Play. The PSR-EW320 comes with a total of 650 high-quality instrument sounds, 260 styles from all genres, and 125 preset songs, while the PSR-EW310 has 622 sounds, 205 styles, and 154 preset songs.
The Auto Chord Play is the new feature which only available for PSR-EW320 and PSR-E383 models at this moment of writing, allowing users to play a full-chord with only 1 finger for learning purposes. Later on, once you have familiarized yourself with the full-chord fingers can start playing the auto-accompaniment or piano easily.
Additionally, the DUO MODE (dividing the keyboard into two sides with the same register) and Keys to Success paired with the built-in MIDI recorder will help your learning time enjoyable and progress faster.
