The V-Drums series has come a long way from being specifically designed with an easy-to-use in V-shaped e-drums to a professional-level instrument the Roland TD-17KVX answers the call for the need for an advanced experience of an e-drum on a sturdy MDS-Compact drum rack.
At the center of this amazing e-drum kit, there’s the simple yet powerful TD-17 drum module; inspired by Roland’s iconic TD-50 module; highlighting 50 unique drum kits and more than 300 percussion instruments sampled sounds from various music genres. In kit customization, you will get to store up to 50 user kits which can be imported in a WAV format – the first for a V-Drum module – and mixed with the preset kits then add some cool effects such as compression, EQ, and reverb to build a distinctive sound character.
The seamless Bluetooth connection is another advanced function that has been added to the TD-17 sound module. You can connect the module to any smart device to stream songs or even do a recording with MIDI over Bluetooth along with a USB connection.
In the drum kits department, 3 new additional “pro” kits are available in the TD-17KVX: a PDX-12 mesh snare pad, a KD-10 bass drum pad, and a VH-10 Hi-Hat. The PDX-12 is a 12″ snare pad that produces a lifelike snare action — natural buzz rolls and rimshots – and much like the acoustic snare the two-ply mesh head is tunable. The KD-10 kick pad was built with the actual acoustic bass drum head response in mind so you will feel a realistic attack and dynamic. The VH-10 hi-hat features natural pumps, splashes, and closed-to-open sound and technique differences with the aid of its dual-trigger system.
