Roland TD-1KPX2 is the flagship model of the TD-1 series V-drums and an upgraded version from the previous TD-1K which highlighted the new innovative foldable feature and tunable mesh heads.
If you are a drummer on tour with a band or don’t have enough space in your room to practice or store a drum set, the V-drums series is a perfect choice, especially the TD-1KPX2, because not only is it capable to deliver lifelike acoustic drumming experience but also can be easily folded, then packed and stored whenever you want.
Going to the sound processing machine, the iconic TD-1 module is at the center of this versatile e-drum set. TD-1 is well-known for its astonishing 15 preset drum kits from various music genres from EDM to Rock and World kits. Then, there are the 15 built-in songs that let you jam along to excel in your drumming skill without disturbing your neighbors’ thanks to silent practice mode using the headphones connection.
Some noticeable upgrades can be found in the TD-1KPX2 drum kit itself. You will get to play with tunable mesh heads of snare and toms giving you a more authentic rebound feel as in the acoustic version. Then, the CY-5 on the Hi-Hat and Cymbals allows you to play naturally with the choke and swing techniques. Additionally, you will get the FD-9 hi-hat controller allows you to play the open-close technique expressively.
The TD-KPX2 has advanced from the iconic V-shaped drum setup to the compact footprint with the MDS-TDKP2 drum rack.
