Teacher Referral Scheme – Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the Teacher Referral Scheme (“Scheme”) offered by The Music Works (“Company”).

By participating in this Scheme, external piano teachers (“Participants”) agree to the terms below.

1. Eligibility

1.1 Participants who refer their students to purchase musical instruments from the Company (The Music Works) are eligible for a commission.
1.2 Eligibility is subject to compliance with all terms stated in this Agreement.

2. Commission Rate & Conditions

2.1 Participants will receive a 5% commission on the sale of qualifying products.
2.2 All accessories, whether sold standalone, as part of PWP (Purchase with Purchase) promotions, bundles, or add-on deals — including but not limited to bags, pedals, stands, amplifiers, guitar effects, and similar items — are not commissionable.
2.3 Commission eligibility applies only to brands and products currently available at The Music Works at the time of the Purchaser’s transaction; out-of-stock items or products not carried by the Company are not commissionable.
2.4 The referred student (“Purchaser”) must pay the full purchase price upfront.
2.5 Commission will only be issued after:

  • (a) Full payment is received by the Company;
  • (b) The product has been delivered to the Purchaser;
  • (c) No complaints or issues are raised by the Purchaser.

2.6 Commission payments are typically processed within six to eight (6–8) weeks after all conditions are met.

3. Referral Notification

3.1 To qualify, Participants must notify the Company in advance of any referral.
3.2 Notification must include the Purchaser’s name and the intended instrument for purchase.
3.3 This must be done in writing (via email or WhatsApp) before the Purchaser completes the transaction.
3.4 Failure to provide advance notification may result in forfeiture of the commission.

4. Payment Mode

4.1 Purchasers referred under the Scheme must make payment via PayNow/Direct Transfer to qualify for the commission.
4.2 Participants should inform the Company immediately once the transaction is completed to validate commission eligibility.

5. Commission Payment

5.1 Commissions will be paid via PayNow/Direct Transfer to the Participant within a reasonable timeframe after the Purchaser’s payment has been verified.
5.2 The Company will process payments using the PayNow/Direct Transfer details provided by the Participant.

6. Returns & Refunds Policy

6.1 All sales are final. No returns or refunds will be accepted once the purchase has been completed.
6.2 As such, commissions will not be affected by return or refund requests, since these transactions are not applicable under this Scheme.

7. Amendments

7.1 The Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
7.2 Any changes will be communicated in writing, and continued participation indicates acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Participant Details & Acknowledgement

By filling in the form below, the Participant confirms that the information provided is accurate and that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
