If you are familiar with the Yamaha PSR-E273 keyboard – one of the best-selling keyboards for beginners in 2023 – please welcome its successor the Yamaha PSR-E283 bringing the much-loved features from the predecessor with some new additions that will give your little one a more enjoyable experience.
At first glance, there’s not much of a difference between the PSR-E273 and PSR-E283 but wait until you play the keyboard and discover a whole new addition of features.
Starting from the new sound collection up to 410 instrument sounds (9 more than the previous model). The Styles are also getting an upgrade with a total of 150 presets (the previous model was 143 presets) and the preset Songs up to 122 songs (PSR-E273 had 112 songs) from any genre.
The much-loved features for beginners are still included such as Duo Mode where you can divide the keys into two sections with the same scale for teacher and student playing together. Then, the Smart Chord function where you can play a full chord only with one finger – useful for beginners to memorize each chord’s sound. Also, the Quiz and Lesson feature helps develop your little one’s musical senses.
As an entry-level keyboard, PSR-E283 is still using a Non-touch sensitive key type meaning the sound level is fixed whether the user presses the key hard or soft. Quite reasonable because this keyboard is designed to expose toddlers up to 7 years old kid to the joy of music.
