Casio CT-S500 is a budget-friendly arranger keyboard that has just recently been unveiled as the latest edition of the Casiotone Keyboards family. As the younger sibling of its predecessor – Casio CT-S400 – the CT-S500 comes with many advanced new features along with upgraded functions that can help your music production becomes much more easier and creative.
In the sound department, CT-S500 comes with Casio’s signature AIX Sound Source which in this model has been upgraded to 800 authentic instrument tones (the previous model was up to 600 tones) including world-class acoustic pianos, electric pianos, strings, and many more. If you are into vintage sounds, Casio VL, VZ, and CZ keyboard tones are also available in the CT-S500 soundbank. The sounds are also supported by a full-size with touch-responsive 61 keynotes to ensure you will get the best “feels and touches” while playing the keyboard.
If you are into sound customization, the CT-S500 can make it easier with its built-in sampling feature. A 6-track sequencer with an audio sampler and DSP effects is available to help you produce a next-level tone. With your customized sounds, jam in with over 200 accompaniment rhythms and be more expressive with the onboard pitch bend wheel and effects.
To get the best of sound delivery, the geniuses at Casio installed a pair of 5.1″ speakers with 2.5 watts of power in the CT-S500 adding another plus in the portability department. Additionally, just like any other Casiotone keyboard series, a specially designed grip is installed on the back of the keyboard making it easier to carry around, plus it can run with only 6x AA-type of batteries (approx. 3 hours of operational time).
Plugged in the included Bluetooth Adaptor (WU-BT10) and you can get a seamless connection with the Casio Music Space application to any smart device and MIDI connection.
The best part of it, the CT-S500 is a wallet-friendly arranger keyboard and it’s a perfect instrument if you are starting the journey in the music-making world.
