Yamaha DTX452K is an upgraded model of the DTX402K electronic drum set with additional enhancements on the Kick and Hi-Hat. However, you don’t need to worry about the price even though it received some upgraded features because the latest model of the DTX400 series is an entry-level e-drum which means this machine is really affordable for everyone.
Just like its previous model, DTX452K is also equipped with the iconic DTX402 sound module which boasts 10 customizable preset drum kits from numerous music genres and other helpful features for beginners such as training modes, metronome, play-along songs mode, and tempo/volume control.
The free DTX402 Touch app (for iOS and Android) is also available for DTX452K so that you can easily customize your kit on your mobile device. If you’d like to record a video of you playing the drums, simply use Yamaha’s Rec’n’Share app which can be connected directly to the DTX402 module to record a better sound then upload them to Youtube.

- BASS DRUM: DTX452K getting an upgrade with the FP6110A Strap Drive foot pedal including the KP65 Bass Drum, while DTX402K has the KU100 electronic foot pedal.
- HI-HAT: DTX452K uses the upgraded HH65 hi-hat pedal controller (allow half-open sounds), while DTX402K uses a generic hi-hat controller.
