When you need to play an acoustic piano in the convenience of a synthesizer keyboard, the Yamaha CK88 has your back by combining the best of the Yamaha CP and YC series.
Yamaha CK88 is literally a combination of the stage piano sound of the CP series and the synthesizer sounds of the YC series. This combination provides a better playing experience for any type of player (acoustic piano and keyboard players) during their stage performance.
Yamaha CK88 is an expanded model of its sibling, the CK61, that highlights the use of the 88 graded-hammer action standard keyboards where the keys are weighted much like those in the acoustic piano. Therefore, an acoustic piano player will “feel at home” when playing on the CK88, especially with the sound banks that are imported directly from the CP series, including the three iconic Yamaha grands: the CFX, S700, and CF3 piano sounds.
While for the keyboard player will be very pleased to play with a total of 363 customizable sounds, including the iconic YC physical drawbar for organ sounds. Users can customise the sounds by adding effects (Envelope, Filters, Flanger, Phaser, and more) in real-time situations and save them as a LIVE SET with a total of 160 sounds. The vintage knobs, sliders, and buttons on the board will be very helpful for this.
What sets the CK88 apart from the rest of the stage pianos is the built-in speakers that are mostly not available. The best part of it, the pair of 6-watt speakers is switchable, which means you can turn it ON or OFF easily by the press of a button. Additionally, an A/D input (Analogue to Digital) allows you to plug in a microphone and also apply two dedicated effects to the audio.
Portability is another key feature of this incredible stage-ready machine, with only about 13 kg of weight and battery-powered, you will have no problem bringing it on a roadshow or band tour.
