Piano Lesson: Accompanying The Pop Vocalist or Another Instrumentalist
This one Time Course explores how to practice comping – or accompanying a Vocalist/instrumentalist. The lesson dividing into several major areas of Concentration. The purpose of this is to organize the vast amount of subject Material, enabling the student to study one aspect at a time and to practice these aspects in a logical, evolving sequence. Eventually, this leads to an Improved overall comping/accompaniment ability. Accompanying the pop vocalist or instrumentalist is primarily for Beginner, Intermediate through advanced level players of harmonic instruments, e.g. Piano (keyboards), guitar, and vibraphone. However, drummers, bassists, and Players of melodic instruments (e.g. Violin, Flute, saxophone, etc.) can also Benefit from its study.
