Nord Grand 2 - Experience a Grand on the Stage

The Nord Grand 2 is built for pianists who demand both exceptional feel and studio-quality sound — with zero compromises. At its core is a next-generation Kawai Hammer Action keyboard with triple sensors that track every nuance across the full dynamic range — from the softest pianissimo to the most powerful fortissimo — with the touch and authenticity of a real acoustic grand. Three keyboard touch settings let you tailor the response to match your personal playing style.

With two independent Piano Layers and two independent Sample Synth Layers, you can stack, split, or blend up to four sounds simultaneously. The new LED fader panel puts instant control over layers, effects, and transposition right at your fingertips, so your musical ideas always flow faster than your gear. Ten lit Split Points with optional crossfades make transitions between zones seamless, whether you're performing live or crafting layered textures in the studio.

The exclusive Nord Piano Library delivers an extensive collection of grands, uprights, and electric pianos, all rendered with Advanced String Resonance and Dynamic Pedal Noise for an unmatched level of expressiveness and realism. Dynamic Compression, Unison, and creative timbre options give you a piano engine that rewards every playing style, from delicate jazz voicings to driving rock chords.

The two independent Sample Synths carry greatly expanded memory, covering wind, brass, strings, guitars, and analogue leads — including sounds from the acclaimed Symphobia and Swing libraries by ProjectSAM. Tru-Vibrato, Unison, and Round Robin bring every patch to life with natural, organic character that holds up under close listening.

Each layer gets its own dedicated effects section featuring Spring, Booth, and Cathedral Reverbs, Ping-Pong Delay, Spin Effect, Compressor, and Amp with Tone variations — full studio-grade sound shaping without ever touching a laptop. With six Live Programs, Nord Piano Monitor support, and the Nord Triple Pedal 2 included, the Nord Grand 2 is completely stage-ready straight out of the box.
