Recently, Casio Music unveiled their latest addition to the CELVIANO series at one of the prestigious Music Conventions in the world – NAMM 2024 – including the elegance in an upright design, Casio CELVIANO AP-S450.
Casio AP-S450 is the successor of the AP-270 (launched in July 2017) bringing a whole new upgrade that highlights the essence of an acoustic-like playing experience in three elegant colors: Black, Brown, and White and sleek design.
For those of you who are familiar with Casio’s signature sound engine – Multi-dimensional Morphing AiR – is making a comeback inside the body of AP-S450. The state-of-the-art sound engine is best known for its capability to replicate the sympathetic vibrations found in acoustic pianos allowing the engine to produce 26 premium quality instrument sounds including the astonishing 9-foot Hamburg Concert Grand and the New York Grand.
The keyboard part is getting an upgrade for the AP-S450 where the Smart Hybrid Hammer Action keybed replaced the Tri-sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard Ⅱ. This new keyboard type made of spruce and plastic composite provides an authentic grand piano key weight and resistance with easy-to-adjust (up to 5 levels) touch responses.
Possibly the most recognizable upgrade is the illuminated touch sensor controls. It’s like a touchscreen feature for every control system from Sound Mode, to Metronome, and other Functions. These illuminated touch sensor controls will disappear when you start playing to give you a complete focus and simply touch them to reactivate. The Visual Information Bar on top of the keys adds “a lifelike pulse” to your play which also reacts to the Metronome beat and the strength level of the pedaling technique.
Seamless connection is guaranteed by the included WU-BT10 Bluetooth Dongle making easy access to the Casio Music Space app or play along to your favorite songs. The AP-S450 is also with MIDI and audio recorder which you can freely record up to 99 songs.
