Casio PX-S5000 is the youngest sibling of the three new Privia series; PX-S7000, PX-S6000 & PX-S5000; and an upgraded model from its predecessors the PX-S1100 and PX-S3100. If you love the previous models then you are going to be much more in love with this PX-S5000 features.

Much like its siblings, the PX-S5000 brings a new upgrade in the keyboard department. The previous models focused on the Smart Scaled Hammer Action keyboard, while the PX-S5000 utilizes Casio’s latest technology, the Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Keyboard. This type of keyboard allows the player to actually feel the weight, resistance, and response of each key from the higher to the lower register replicating the Grand Piano playing experience. A mix of resin and high-quality spruce are the main compound of the keys where they replicate the ivory and ebony texture much like in a grand piano. Also, 192-note polyphony ensures that all of the keynotes can be heard simultaneously.

In the sound engine department, the acclaimed Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR tone generator; usually found in Casio’s top-of-the-line digital piano models, the GP and AP series; is the powerhouse in producing 23 top-notch instrument sounds including world-class grand pianos sampled from the most notable grand pianos in the world. The cutting-edge acoustic simulator feature adds a realistic feel of string and damper resonance.

A design that highlights portability, compactness, and sleekness is always the main theme of the Privia PX-S series. In the PX-S5000, all of those categories are getting a luxury retouch. A pair of 2-channel built-in speaker systems are ready to deliver a high-definition sound to the audience. Then, the wireless connection via Bluetooth is also available with a dongle included making a seamless connection to any smart device easier. It can even run with only 8x AA-type batteries making it easier for you to play it anywhere and at any time.
