Korg MicroKEY Air is the upgraded version of the previous MicroKEY series, wherein this model, portability, and seamless connection features get a boost in performance.
What makes the Korg MicroKEY stands out from the rest of the midi controller? Obviously, the wireless Bluetooth connection. So, you won’t need to worry about forgetting to bring a USB cable because all you need to do is just pair the Bluetooth to your smart device or a laptop and you can start the music creation project.
Much like a standard portable keyboard, you will also get to play with some key functions that will make your recording or live gig session more expressive. The MicroKEY Air comes in 4 varieties of keynotes type, they are 25, 37, 49, and 61 mini keynotes with natural touch responses. This way when you play a certain virtual instrument sound (e.g acoustic piano), the lower register and upper register have a difference in weight much like when you play the traditional acoustic piano but in a lighter key weight response.
Then we go to the expression features, you will get to play with dedicated pitch and mod wheels to accommodate your exploration plus a damper pedal input for the sound sustain, pretty handy when playing a piano type of tone.
In the portability department, the wireless connection is not the only key element because Korg MicroKEY Air also has 2 types of power supply either from 2x AA batteries or a USB connection to a laptop.
