Alesis just recently launched a new contender in the professional-level digital piano but with the price lower than most, please welcome Alesis Prestige Artist.
Prestige Artist is Alesis’ flagship model in the digital piano series, its features surpass the previous models – Recital Pro and Virtue – especially, in the authentic traditional piano playing experience.
The 88-weighted graded hammer action keys make the difference between Prestige Artist and the previous models. The graded hammer action keys are the difference in the touch feel in the lower register and higher register notes. In the lower register, the touch feel would be heavier, while in the higher register it will be lighter which resembles the traditional acoustic piano. Additionally, the hammer action keys are supported by 256 maximum polyphony ensuring all of the keys can be heard while played simultaneously.
In the sound department, Alesis Prestige Artist is focused on the 30 premium multi-sampled essential tones, they are Piano, Electric Piano, Organ, Orchestra, Synth, and Bass. Moreover, these sounds can be Split into two parts of sounds in the lower and higher register, also Layered by combining two sounds (i.e Piano + Orchestra) to make an even more dramatic sound.
Lesson Mode is also available in the Prestige Artist where you can divide the keyboard into two zones but with the same pitch and voice (a bit different than the Split function). To top it all, Melodics – an app that helps you learn to play your instrument with confidence – is giving 60 free interactive lessons in their app that can be connected via USB-MIDI on the Prestige Artist.
