The Music Works Centre proudly presents JAM Band Camp, a 2-day holiday music programme for kids from 7-12 years old, from 25-26 November 2025.
Our JAM Band Camp aims to give students the chance to try learning not just one, not just two, but 3 music courses! Furthermore, they will learn basic musicianship and get to perform with other kids as a band.
Each course is 1.5 hours, plus a complete band rehearsal experience and a mini performance of a pop song at the end of the programme, all of these for only $139 /student. The best part is, No Music Background is required. LIMITED SLOTS, so register now!
Drums Course (1.5 hours)
As the timekeeper of the band, the drummer is the heartbeat of the rhythm section. The lesson covers the fundamental techniques of drumming, basic rhythm reading and concepts to keep the band sounding tight.
Ukulele Course (1.5 hours)
One of the easiest-to-learn musical instruments, the ukulele is not a toy when it comes to a pop band. The lesson includes proper strumming techniques, basic chords, rhythm reading, and providing the rhythm section with the essential background.
Pop Keyboard Course (1.5 hours)
This lesson covers the contemporary approach to learning keyboards, basic chord progression, and what a keyboard can do to fill up the sound of the rhythm section.
Pop Band Jam Course – The Mother of All Courses
This is where everything comes together! The Ensemble Course is the ultimate session where students combine all the instruments they’ve learned — keyboard, drums, and ukulele — to perform as a real band. Students learn how to listen to one another, keep in time, and balance their parts to make the music come alive. The lesson focuses on teamwork, timing, and stage confidence — the perfect finale to the Jam-Pop Band Camp experience.
